S2
S2 – Intelligence and Security is responsible for collecting and analyzing intelligence information about the enemy to determine what the enemy is doing, or might do, to prevent the accomplishment of the unit's mission.

Description
The intelligence section may also control maps and geographical information. The department manages all security clearance issues for the unit's personnel. Information Operations (IO) encompass attacking adversary command and control (C2) systems (offensive IO) while protecting friendly C2 systems from adversary disruption (defensive IO). Effective IO combines the effects of offensive and defensive IO to produce information superiority at decisive points.
The S2 staff process new applicants, verifying various aspects of all applications can take anywhere form 1 hour to 12 hours. The procedures of S2 cannot be divulged for security reasons.
