A drill instructor (DI) is a Non-commissioned officer or Commissioned Officer in the Right to Rebel with specific duties. Drill instructors are assigned the duty of initiating new recruits entering the Right to Rebel into the customs and practices of military life. They accompany new recruits throughout the training process, instructing and correcting them in everything from correct procedures for firing a weapon to the correct way to speak to a superior. They are part of the recruit training command (RTC)
Responsibilities
The drill instructors have the following responsibilities;
- Creating a recruit folder for each new recruit
- Sending boot camp packages (basic information on boot camp and links to various documentation) to new recruits.
- Sending a "Welcome" letter to new recruits.
- Administer oral test to new recruits before boot camp
- Organize and conduct boot camp for new recruits
