Community Investigation Department

The mission of CID is to investigate and deter serious violations of Right to Rebels Code of Conduct, Rules and Regulation and UCMJ. CID collects, analyzes, processes and disseminates internal community intelligence; conducts protective service operations; provides forensic support to all RTR investigative agencies, and maintains Right to Rebels community member violation records. CID also provides Community investigative support to all Right to Rebel elements and deploys on short notice in support of contingency operations Community wide. CID Special Agents primarily investigate Code of Conduct, Rules and Regulations and UCMJ violation within Right to Rebel and provide investigative support to field commanders. CID does not charge subjects of investigations with violations. CID investigates allegations of wrongdoing and once an investigation is completed, turns the findings over to the appropriate command and authority for disposition and adjudication.

Chain of Command

CID is a centralized, separate investigative force with investigative autonomy, designed to prevent command influence or even the appearance of command influence. CID agents report through the CID chain of command to the Commanding General, who in turn reports directly to the Chief of Staff and the Community Leader.

Unit Organization

CID is organized into one Directorate; Community Level- Commanding General (Director of CID); and two major subordinate organizations: Division Level- Chief Investigator (OIC of CID), Assistant Chief Investigator ( XO of CID), Sergeant of Arms (SA of CID); Company Level- CID Officers (CID)

Oversight

CID investigations receive multiple layers of internal reviews during the course of an investigation form . The Judge Advocate Generals Office also conducts reviews of individual CID unit casework.
